i really despise how art and consumerism have so much to do with eachother. i dont believe in pushing myself to release entertaining content and i resent most people who draw fanart of whatever is the most popular thing at the time. i dont think enough people are upset about this

its not really valid or respectable to hate your own art skills. if you do you should find something different to do. but anyway technical skills are a scam and you finding something about yourself , or healing through art, is what matters the most. people who have never really practiced art have the perspectives i want to see the most

at this point, to me art is important as a marker for passage of time
